Alex Samoylovich

Alex Samoylovich is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CEDARst Companies, an integrated real estate developer headquartered in Chicago. He has sourced, invested in, and managed hundreds of multifamily transactions and has been instrumental in the development of more than 4 billion dollars of real estate across the United States.

Today, CEDARst oversees a national portfolio of over 7,500 units in markets including Chicago, San Diego, Portland, Minneapolis, and Cleveland, with a focus on design driven, experiential multifamily communities. In addition to his work at CEDARst, Alex is the Founder and Executive Chairman of ProperXPM, a national residential property management platform built in partnership with TriSpan to consolidate best in class regional operators under a technology enabled, experiential service model.

Alex also founded Livly, Inc a multifamily operating system that helps owners and managers centralize resident experience, operations, and ancillary revenue through software and automation. Livly and its ecosystem of partnerships reflect his conviction that modern multifamily platforms must combine real estate, technology, and data to compete at scale.

Earlier in his career, Alex was an equity and options trader, experience that informs his approach to risk, capital structure, and market timing. In 2016, he was named to Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40” list recognizing rising leaders in the region’s business community.
